My husband Tony and I have supported Catholic Relief Services faithfully for over 25 years. We live by Matthew 25:35, believing that we must help our sisters and brothers in need, wherever they may be, whenever we can. Our motto is: “They say charity begins at home—but it doesn’t end there!”
We discovered CRS through Operation Rice Bowl and from a retired bishop in the Diocese of Green Bay—who also happened to be one of CRS’ founders. Impressed by CRS’ A+ rating and the fact that a significant percentage of our donations would go directly to help vulnerable people around the world, we began with regular giving.

As time went on, we decided to leave a gift to CRS in our will. It’s comforting to know that we will continue in some way and have a positive impact on others around the world after we are gone.
In 2022, we traveled to the West Bank and witnessed the daily hardships faced by the people there. This made our giving decisions even more meaningful. We know there is a great deal of suffering in the world, but through CRS, we’ve seen that we can make a difference—today and into the future.
